This independent cottage is located on the riverbank, with a private, enclosed garden (1000 m²) full of flowers and trees, just outside the village. The owners live on-site, next to the cottage.
Ground floor: kitchen, living room with wood-burning stove, office/relaxation area (library, games), separate WC.
Upstairs: 1 bedroom (1 double bed), 1 bedroom (1 double bed and 1 single bed), mezzanine (1 double bed on the landing), bathroom with WC, shower, and bathtub.
Electric heating and wood-burning stove.
Terraces, barbecue and electric griddle, children's play area in a flowered, wooded, and enclosed garden with access to the Aumance River. Parking for 2 cars.

Your hosts:
Pierrette and Rudy Holierhoek: For 18 years, we have welcomed vacationers and workers to our former home. This gîte is part of a complex of three buildings constructed in 1937. The site was first used as a municipal slaughterhouse. Closed in 1974, it was then used for nearly 25 years by the Hérisson town hall for rental purposes. In 1999, we purchased the property and brought it back to life. We first renovated the former caretaker's house, which we lived in for almost 10 years (the current gîte), and then we renovated the stables (now the main residence). Rudy, a nurseryman, is passionate about plants. He plants, prunes, trims, and maintains these various gardens. Pierrette, a soon-to-be-retired teacher-librarian, furnishes the interiors, salvages furniture, and brings these houses to life.
